Promoted to the new role, Craig will be reporting to Sylvester, the company’s new EVP and chief guest experience officer. Craig has been with Target since 2008, most recently in the role of senior vice president of digital. During his time with the company, he has held various leadership roles across technology and merchandising.
Craig is assuming the role of Mike McNamara, who announced his retirement in 2021 and held the position since 2015.
“I’ve loved every minute of my time here, but professionally and personally, the timing is great to begin the process of retiring and transitioning to a new CIO,” said McNamara in a previous statement. “The technology team and platform are in brilliant shape and our business is already taking on its next growth chapter.
McNamara will transition to a strategic advisory role through the end of January 2023.
