In partnership with the AWS Retail leadership team, Joanne delivers cloud migration and modernization strategies, partner solutions, and go-to-market capabilities for apparel and fashion retailers. Joanne has more than 20 years of retail technology and industry experience, including past leadership positions at Gartner, Inc., Belk Department Stores, Family Dollar Stores, and Accenture.

Steve Gurney leads worldwide strategy and thought leadership for the General Merchandise Retail segment at AWS. In partnership with the AWS Retail leadership team, Steve delivers cloud migration and modernization strategies, partner solutions, and go-to-market capabilities for general merchandise retailers globally. Steve has over 25 years of technology and consumer industry experience. Prior to AWS, Steve was the Global Lead for Financial Services and Media & Entertainment Industries at Verizon. Prior to Verizon, Steve successfully founded several US software startups in Europe, including three unicorns.
