Sam’s Club has deployed its “Ask Sam” associate assistant application across the chain. The voice responsive app acts as a digital assistant for in-store associates.

The mobile app is available to all associates in the chain’s nearly 600 clubs nationwide.  Associates can “Ask Sam” anything about the club – just like they would on their own phone.

Since its initial launch in March, the platform has answered more than 1.5 million associate questions. Inquires range from asking about work schedules, recipes for home meal solutions, and item location and availability. The more questions you “Ask Sam” the better its responses will get.

Sam’s Club’s technology team developed the app so associates could find the answers they need quickly and easily. All they need to do is simply speak or type their question into Ask Sam.

The design of the app also helps associates better predict the number of fresh items to produce throughout the day, like pies and rotisserie chickens, so members will be purchasing the freshest items possible.
