Walmart Kicks Off More TikTok

Walmart liked what it saw during its first TikTok shopping experience, and so it’s bringing another event to the social platform.

As with its holiday event, the retailer is staging a livestreaming shoppable experience that will give TikTok viewers the ability to purchase items highlighted by the content creator directly within the TikTok app.

The Spring Shop-Along: Beauty Edition will take place Thursday, March 11 at 9pm EST on Walmart’s TikTok channel, and the 60-minute interactive tutorial will include creators highlighting favorite Walmart beauty items and giving skincare, makeup and hair demos and tips. Gabby Morrison, who has more than 3.5 million TikTok followers, will be one of these creators.

To purchase items, consumers can tap on a product pin, add it to their carts and check out after the event.

Walmart said its December event grew its TikTok followers by 25% and it’s readying more TikTok shopping experiences.
