Saks Appoints GM for New Calgary Store

Saks Fifth Avenue appointed Lydia Seifert as the vice president, general manager of Saks Calgary at the Chinook Centre in Calgary, AB. In this new position, Seifert will bring her nearly 20 years of retail industry experience to manage the launch and day-to-day operations of the 115,000-square-foot, two-level retail destination, which is scheduled to open on Feb. 22, 2018.

"I am so thrilled to continue my career at Saks as vice president, general manager at Saks Calgary," said Seifert, who most recently held the position of assistant general merchandise manager at Saks San Francisco. "Calgary is such a welcoming and dynamic city, and I can't wait to see how this new location will enhance the premium shopping experience and fashion Canadians have come to expect from Saks Fifth Avenue."

In addition to the appointment of Seifert, Saks has also opened the doors of its highly anticipated recruitment center, which is currently accepting applications to fill approximately 120 full- and part-time career opportunities.

Located at Suite 701 of the Chinook Centre professional tower, the center is searching for exceptional individuals to represent the Saks brand as it expands into the Calgary area. Positions are available for selling managers and support managers, as well as sales and support staff in all departments, including men's and women's ready-to-wear, handbags, jewelry, shoes, cosmetics, personal shopping, merchandising, visual, alterations and asset protection.
