Tech Transformation

Retail business intelligence channels are constantly in flux, moving from one topic to the next to keep up with the onslaught of news, leaving little room to extrapolate meaningful insights that can truly transform businesses.

That’s why parent company EnsembleIQ has decided to invest in new mediums at RIS News, leveraging the innovative power of podcasting and video to deliver expertly crafted technology information that companies can implement to improve efficiencies across their own stacks.

RIS News recently unveiled the first episode of its Tech Transformation series, co-produced with CGT, in both podcast and video formats. The series, published twice a month, bridges the retail and consumer goods technology communities, and will feature retail and brand executives, thought leaders, and analysts to deliver best practices that are having a real impact on individual companies and the industry at large.

The video and podcast series also highlights the innovative technology strategies retailers and consumer goods companies are executing to meet the needs of their customers and consumers, and explores the trends shaping the industry.

Tune in to the first episode, which features Cheryl Williams, chief information officer of Wakefern Food Corp, discussing the latest pandemic wave and its impact on grocery retailers; how Wakefern is using its 20/20 hindsight to adapt and pivot; some of the latest tech innovations Wakefern has planned; and insights into the future of checkout-free stores, consumer behavior and in-store robots.

“Constantly evolving consumer behaviors around the pandemic have necessitated accelerated use of technology in the retail industry,” said Albert Guffanti, vice president, Group Publisher, Consumer Goods Technology and Retail Information Systems. “We developed this engaging video and podcast series to explore the technology trends, strategies and innovation shaping our industry. These conversations with industry leaders will provide our audience with recommendations and best practices that will help them meet the needs of their customers and consumers now and in the future.”
