Lucky Brand Executive to Give Closing Keynote at RES

Out with the old and in with the bold. 

At the 2018 Retail Experience Summit, Honorary Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Lucky Brand Michael Relich and RIS Editorial Director Joe Skorupa will close out the retail event of the year with theClosing Keynote: 7 Things Bold Companies Do.” The pair will explore what it means to be transformative and innovative in retail today based on lessons learned from recent experience and many years in the retail industry.

As COO of Lucky Brand, Relich is responsible for leading operations and driving long-term strategic growth initiatives for the lifestyle brand that designs, markets, distributes and licenses a full collection of contemporary apparel and accessories through its own retail stores and department and specialty stores in the US and Canada.

Prior to Lucky, Relich served in various COO roles for brands such as Crate and Barrel and Guess, Inc. Relich, a 2013 MIT CIO Leadership finalist, also served as the CIO for GUESS?, Inc., where he was responsible for building the system infrastructure that enabled the company to grow from a $640 million North America-centric business in 2004 to a $2.3 billion global operation with over 1,700 stores in 87 countries today. Relich has more than 30 years of retail operations and systems experience.

Skorupa is the editorial director and featured blogger for RIS News, an EnsembleIQ media portfolio. Skorupa is frequently named as one of the top Influencers in retail and technology. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences such as the SXSW Interactive, NRF Big Show, Shop.Org and technology vendor user conferences.

The newly relaunched Retail Experience Summit (formerly Retail Executive Summit) will be held October, 2-4, 2018, at the Grand Del Mar, San Diego, California.
