Bed Bath & Beyond is opening a new flagship store in New York City on July 22, and direct-to-consumer darling Casper will join the fray its first branded shop-in-shop.

The retailer will sell the bedding company’s products in on its website and in select stores, with additional stores offering the products in the coming months. In addition to the flagship store on Sixth Avenue, Bed Bath & Beyond’s store in the New York Tribeca neighborhood will also offer a Casper in-store experience, as its Bridgewater, NJ, store.

The partnership marks Casper's growing retail footprint, which includes 70-plus Casper-branded retail stores.

Joe Hartsig, Bed Bath & Beyond executive VP and chief merchandising officer and Harmon Stores president, called Casper an ideal complement to the store’s bedding collection. "We are pleased to strengthen our authority in the sleep category by forging this strategic partnership with Casper to make its exceptional and innovative suite of sleep solutions available to our customers," he noted.

Separately, Bed Bath & Beyond has expanded its fulfillment options. The retailer extended curbside pickup availability to include hours before and after stores open — intended to cater to consumers who have shopped overnight.

It’s also accelerating fulfillment to promise that orders will be ready one hour from the time it was placed vs. the previous two hours, and has nearly doubled the number of ZIP codes eligible for same-day delivery.

In order to execute this same-day delivery growth, Bed Bath & Beyond partnered with Roadie to tap into its nationwide delivery driver network. The retailer also partners with Doordash and Shipt for delivery, and adding Roadie will enable it to make same-day delivery available to consumers located nearly all Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy BABY stores.

The country is getting 'back to normal' and we want to give consumers expanded flexibility on how to get online orders, within hours,” said Rafeh Masood, executive VP and chief digital officer of Bed Bath & Beyond. “Whether that means placing a last-minute same-day delivery order to better entertain this summer or picking up an online order on the way to work, we are finding new innovative ways to meet the evolving needs of today's digital customers."
